NEW NARRATIVES: BOBBIN SIDE TABLE

Elaborate in detail, simple in structure, The Bobbin Side Table has been designed for functionality with a distinctly modern aesthetic.

Taking influence from 17th century English and Dutch ‘spool’ furniture, this iconic design detail consists of decorative bobbles, hand-turned into the timber. This technique was often seen on chair, stool and table legs, first introduced by makers using off-cuts from sewing bobbins.

Details: The Bobbin Side Table

Designed in our Beverley studio, The Bobbin Side Table is brought to life in our workshop using traditional wood-turning techniques. With quality and sustainability at the forefront of our practice, we only work best British timbers to produce our furniture. The Bobbin Side Table is available in a number of different timbers, Natural Oak, Ebonised Oak, Brown Oak, Walnut and Elm.

The counterpoint to this elaborate spool detail is a very simple structure, designed primarily for functionality, with a distinctly modern aesthetic.
