We're thrilled to share that the Split Turned Bench has been awarded Best British Design at the Livingetc Style Awards 2026.

The award means a great deal. Livingetc has long been one of the most discerning voices in interiors, and to be recognised in a category that celebrates the best of British craftsmanship alongside some genuinely exceptional work is something we're incredibly proud of.
Livingetc's global editor in chief Sarah Spiteri said of the bench: "Just beautiful — a work of art as much as it is good furniture."

The Split Turned Bench began as an exercise in large-scale wood turning, laminated solid timber shaped into a voluminous, rhythmic seat surface, resting on solid 'buttered' brass pedestals. It was originally made for our first permanent public art commission at Alfred Muse in the Heal's Building, London and has since become one of our most definitive pieces. Handmade in Yorkshire, fully customisable in size, timber and form and built to last.
Thank you to everyone at Livingetc for the recognition, and to everyone who has supported the work.
