In Place: Galvin Brothers for Blackwood Norfolk

We were recently commissioned by Blackwood Norfolk to create a collection of furniture for their luxury cabin, situated in secluded woodlands on the West Runton coast. If attention to detail is your thing, you’re going to want to take a tour of this beautiful property.

We love to see our furniture in situ, especially when each piece has been designed specifically for the client and their space.

Working closely with Sarah, the owner of Blackwood Norfolk, we designed a bespoke collection with careful consideration to material, the space these pieces would inhabit and the properties rural location. Bold silhouettes, super soft leathers, natural timbers and ebonised tones.

About Blackwood

Beautifully designed, exquisitely crafted with carefully curated interiors providing the ultimate coastal retreat.

Blackwood is a three bedroom contemporary retreat tucked away amongst woodland on the edge of the North Norfolk coastal village of West Runton. A special place to unwind in style and reconnect with nature in the most peaceful setting.

Taking its name from the heavily charred Accoya in which it is wrapped, Blackwood is located in woodland which once formed part of the neighbouring estate of Felbrigg Hall and is surrounded by mature oak, beech, birch and sweet chestnut trees amongst other species.

The cabin is set within its own private grounds and nestled amongst the National Trust woodland and heaththat sweeps up above the coast at West Runton.

North Norfolk has 45 miles of unspoilt coastline to explore. It is a unique area of remarkable diversity and scientific importance and is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. You will find pinewood backed white sandy beaches and dunes at Wells and Holkham, creeks and salt marshes at Morston, Cley and Blakeney, a pebble beach at Weybourne and sandstone cliffs at West Runton amongst many more.
