Our Cutler's Stool is a modern interpretation of an old workshop archetype, design in collaboration with Corin Mellor from David Mellor Design.
The original stool would have been made by the cutler or silversmith taking the off-cut from their bench and fashioning some legs to create a workaday perch.
Sticking with the spirit of the original we're using timber that would otherwise be discarded from other processes in our workshop to create a characterful seat; hand shaped to match the idiosyncratic quirks of its predecessor. As always we’ve hand turned a new neat leg that captures the essence of the original.
The Cutler’s Stool is a natural addition to your bathroom, bedroom or sitting room, and is also equally as useful as sturdy day-to-day seating because of its robust construction.
The stool is available in two sizes — the smaller version at 400mm in height and the larger is standard seating height at 460mm
