NEW TRADITIONS: THE BOBBIN CONSOLE

Traditional in detail, elegant in proportions; this is our Bobbin Console Table in walnut.

Historically, consoles were designed to sit along walls and long hallways in large chateaux and villas, mostly for decoration with elaborate carvings and intricate details.

In modern homes, a console table is more likely to be placed in a narrow entrance or hallway, to be a versatile, space saving and unimposing presence. But consoles aren't just for hallways; the Bobbin Console can be used as a bar, a desk or a vanity.

Elegant proportions

The Bobbin Console Table is our interpretation of the 17th Century English and Dutch spool or bobbin furniture. With four hand-turned bobbin legs, a simple squared top with a central drawer in the front rail, lined with super-soft suede. Crafted using traditional techniques, the silhouette is effortlessly modern, making this piece a versatile choice for period properties and ultra modern spaces alike.

This console table is available in English oak, ebonised oak, walnut and a variety of sizes.
